Ages 10-15 Get ready to twist, scrunch, and swirl your way into a world of color! In this vibrant hands-on class held in downtown Haddonfield, tweenagers will explore the fun and creative art of tie-dye. Students will learn classic and modern techniques—including spirals, bullseyes, crumples—while experimenting with bold color combinations and patterns. Participants will create art like pillow cases, socks, and may even try out dyeing on unexpected surfaces. Along the way, they’ll gain a basic understanding of fabric preparation, dye chemistry, and color theory—all while expressing their unique style. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and a willingness to get a little messy! All materials provided. We will walk you through the therapeutic process of working on the pottery wheel ( the spinney thingy) , with easy steps to remember, by the end of the session you will be able to make your own ceramic, food-safe pieces, cups, vases and bowls, a perfect session for couples, family bonding time and kids, all our sessions are known for a relaxed, social yet inspirational environment. We are an environmentally friendly studio using unique firing techniques to save our planet one piece at a time.

In this introductory 3-week class, we will be focusing on learning the basics. The first 2 weeks making the vessels, the 3rd week trimming (cleaning up) your pieces. The goal for this class is to get you comfortable on the wheel, and students could get outside practice time as desired when participating in our 3-week Class. Price: $200 (10 lbs of clay plus outside practice time during our business hour Thur.-Mon.) Anyone aged 16+ Throwing is a messy business, remember to bring an apron/handtowel and trim long nails as they can get in the way of your creative expression. *Students will need to come back to glaze their own piece to give it a colorful and glossy surface. The glazing fee is already included in the workshop, you will get an email notification to schedule your glazing date once we complete a bisque firing for your piece.
