We are currently facing a challenging situation at sheltter. Among the many animals under our care, we have a few young puppies in critical condition. One is still warded at the vet, while three others have tested positive for both distemper and tick fever, a serious and life-threatening combination, especially in young dogs. On top of this, our shelter is battling a severe tick and flea infestation. Despite our best efforts, eliminating these parasites has been a real struggle. The most effective solution is to administer Nexgard or similar treatments, which work systemically to kill ticks and fleas. Unfortunately, these medications are costly, especially when needed in large quantities for so many dogs. We have tried bathing the dogs with anti-parasitic solutions, but it is extremely difficult and time-consuming. Many of the dogs are afraid and run away, making it hard to catch and treat them individually. Some may not respond well to topical solutions alone. Temporary Pause in Rescue Operations 🐾 We want to be transparent with all of you about the challenges we are currently facing and why we’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily halt rescue operations. At the moment, we owe ₱20,000 to our vet, ₱15,000 for utilities and ₱60,000 to one of our food suppliers. Our Fifty Pesos Friday fundraising is not enough to cover a week's worth of food expenses. Providing food for our rescues is a daily necessity, and when there are days resources fall short, credit becomes our only option—leading to debts that continue to pile up. In addition to these expenses, we have other operational expenses and the ongoing care of hundreds of rescued animals that rely on us. While we do our best to shoulder many of these expenses ourselves, personal funds and our salaries are also limited because we have families of our own to support. We do not want to burden anyone with these problems, but as much as we want to keep rescuing, we cannot do so until we’ve addressed our current financial obligations. Rest assured, we will be back on our feet again as soon as we have settled these challenges. Я заборонила собі заходити на Фейсбук, читати пости і тихо божеволіти від того, що бачу там... прошу і Машу просто закривати очі... страшно, останнє здоров'я йде на це, а зробити нічого не можна. Втішаю себе, що не можна осягнути неосяжне, але як же гидко зараз на душі... Намагаємося закрити борги - не виходить, прилаштувати хоч когось із клінік - теж не виходить. Дика втома і дипресія від усього, весь час пам'ятаєш, що останні евакуації з фронту на курському напрямку - повний провал... пам'ятаєш, що більше десятка ще сидить у напівпідвальному приміщенні без людей і світла майже цілі дні, і ми безсилі, щось виправити зараз. Ми б із радістю їх перевезли в клініки, але прилаштування немає, якщо беруть, то беруть друзі, у яких це не перший вихованець із нашої групи. Здається "з шкури лізеш", так піариш діток, ну вже кошенят то, думаєш, повинні розібрати! Ні, дзвонять тільки на породистих діток - сіамців, на інших, як стіна глуха!!!! Пост поганий, знаю, просто іноді хочеться виплеснути хоч частину того, що в голові сидить і гризе. Може про таке і не пишуть, але знаю думають так багато волонтерів. Йогурт і Імбир, Ластівка і Чупик, Мурочка і Валерія, Мун, Сніжка, Бісеня, Мальвіна - всі вони могли б бути вже в сім'ях.
