Hindi na mababasa sa ngayon ang report ng politiko.com.ph kung saan quoted ang investment banker at management consultant na si Leo Alejandrino sa pagsasabing si Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. ang posibleng “contender for the vice presidency” kapalit ni Vice President Sara Duterte. Matatandaang magkasunod na sinampahan ng impeachment complaints si VP Sara nitong Disyembre 2 at Disyembre 4 para sa betrayal of public trust, graft and corruption, bribery, umano’y maanomalyang paggamit ng P612.5-million confidential funds, at iba pang seryosong krimen na grounds for impeachment. “The President (Ferdinand Marcos Jr.) would be able to appoint a surrogate to replace her (VP Sara) which would temporarily solve the succession issue. The talk is that person might be someone like Sen. Bong Revilla who is popular enough but not a threat to the Marcos family,” sinabi ni Alejandrino sa kanyang ‘Heneral Lunacy’ blog. Alinsunod sa Section 9 ng Article VII ng 1987 Philippine Constitution, pupuwedeng mag-nominate ang pangulo ng magiging bise presidente niya mula sa mga kasapi ng Kamara at Senado kapag nabakante ang ikalawang pinakamataas na posisyon sa gobyerno.
