For the third year running, BTAN is proud to bring back our signature event, Creative Black Futures! We are seeking youth artists 13-24 of ALL DISCIPLINES interested in developing and sharing their craft in a big way. Creative Black Futures is a multidisciplinary youth arts exhibition and showcase designed to highlight and celebrate the amazing talent of Black-Africana, youth in Allegheny County. Last year’s event saw youth representing 16 schools across 5 boroughs and 10 neighborhoods, bringing the creative energy through vocal, literary, visual and performance art! This year will be even bigger with our amazing Creatives in Residence engaging young performers in a multi week artist development workshop series where they will continue to sharpen their skills leading up to the main event. This event is always a labor of love and is rewarding for everyone involved. We need your help make sure talented youth from all over the County connect to this opportunity to get paid, get some creative development, and most importantly, share their gifts and talents with the community.
