I Love You Day, I am excited to announce this year’s kindness challenge is aimed at spreading love and gratitude to our local first responders. This year’s theme is “A Brighter Tomorrow Begins Today,” reflecting the spirit of compassion we aim to cultivate within our community. As part of this year’s initiatives, I invite you to participate in two impactful programs. Kindness Challenge: Handprint Heart Posters for First Responders To thank our dedicated first responders for their service to our community I encourage students, families, and community members to create handprint heart posters that express gratitude and kindness. • Submission Deadline: Feb. 11 by 4:30 PM • Drop-off Location: Babylon Town Council Office, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, NY 11757 Your thoughtful creations will serve as a heartfelt reminder to our first responders that their hard work and sacrifices are deeply appreciated. P.S. I Love You Book Drive We are thrilled to partner with Book Fairies for the P.S. I Love You Book Drive, running from Jan. 14 to Feb. 11. This initiative supports the Sustainable Library Initiative by promoting the reuse of books, fostering a culture of literacy, and encouraging community engagement all while contributing to environmental sustainability. By donating gently used or new books during this period, we can make a lasting impact in our community and beyond, ensuring more individuals have access to the power of reading.
