Military Service & Commitment to Veterans Dan is currently a Master Sergeant (MSgt) in the Air National Guard and has dedicated his life to serving his country. His military career began with 9.5 years on active duty as a C-17A Loadmaster, where he played a crucial role in logistics, airlift operations, and global mobility missions. He continues his service in the Air National Guard, supporting critical military operations while advocating for veterans transitioning into civilian life. His firsthand experience navigating military service and veteran reintegration fuels his passion for helping at-risk veterans secure stable housing, employment, and mental health support, making his role at The Journey Home even more personal and impactful. Looking Ahead As CEO, Dan is committed to expanding The Journey Home’s programs and ensuring veterans have access to the resources they need to thrive. His vision is to build on the organization’s foundation, strengthen partnerships, secure sustainable funding, and enhance support systems that empower veterans on their path to independence. Additionally, Dan will continue serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the YMCA of Muncie, where he plays a key role in financial strategy, operational improvements, and community development.
