BCMF and the Peace Region Metis Community Association (PRMCA), alongside valued partners, were proud to host the 2nd Annual Family Jamboree in Fort St. John on June 6th and 7th. The two-day gathering brought together families, community members, and guests from across the region for a vibrant celebration of Métis culture, kinship, and connection. More than just a festival, this year’s jamboree was a space for cultural sharing and reconciliation. Through music, dance, and community dialogue, participants honoured Métis heritage and history while building stronger relationships across the region. Traditional dance demonstrations and Métis fiddle music showcased the richness of Métis traditions, preserving the Métis spirit for future generations.
