PlatFam! My name is Mitch. I used to manage all of the sales for Platform Marketing. I'm still active in the PlatFam, and I'm still a co-owner at Platform! However, I'm now the president of John Galt Mortgage Company, a new brokerage we (the Platform team) launched a few years ago. I wanted to introduce myself for those who don't already know me: I live in Charleston now, but I was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana…then Kentucky, then Germany for awhile, then Indiana again, then Michigan. If you guessed "was your dad in the military" you'd be correct! I finally moved to Charleston, South Carolina when I was 20, and after 12 years, it’s actually the place I’ve lived the longest. It’s crazy to see a place change so much over a decade. I love it here. As a kid I went to 9 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 high school...across 3 states and 2 countries. I responded to the constant school switching and need to make friends, not by becoming anti-social, but instead by becoming the top 1 percentile of hyper-extroverted people. I’m married. We have 2 dogs, a Corgi and a mini-Aussie, and a lovely, wretched cat with whom I have a love/hate relationship. I love trips to mountains and other stunning locations of natural beauty, such as 526 anytime I need to go somewhere. Come say “hi” to me. I dare you. I love meeting new people! I’m a drummer, vocalist, and have played in bands around the area since moving here 12 years ago. You can often find me at karaoke spots around town (or hitting up a local show). I’m also a nerd and love reading books on history, psychology, economics, and the rise and fall of empires. One of my favorite books of all-time is Atlas Shrugged, and as I mentioned I’m the president and cofounder of John Galt Mortgage Company. So if you know anyone looking to make a move, let me know!
