Here is what you will learn- What Reiki Is and Isn’t Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. It is not affiliated with any particular religion or spiritual practice. Instead, Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. History of Reiki Reiki was developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui in Japan. Usui sought to create a method of healing that did not require physical touch and could be accessible to all. Using Reiki in Daily Life Reiki can be seamlessly integrated into your daily routine. It can be used to enhance relaxation, reduce stress, and promote healing. Whether you're starting your day, taking a break, or winding down for the evening, Reiki can be a valuable tool for maintaining balance and well-being. Energetic Systems of the Body Overview of the Energetic Systems Understanding the body's energetic systems is crucial for practicing Reiki. The body is believed to have several energy fields and centers that play a vital role in our physical and emotional health. Chakra Energetic Centers The chakra system is an integral part of Reiki practice. There are seven main chakras, each corresponding to different aspects of our being. Exercises to Feel Energy To help you tap into and sense energy, we'll guide you through a series of exercises designed to increase your sensitivity to subtle energies. These exercises will enhance your ability to perceive and channel Reiki energy effectively. The Attunement Process Each student will receive a private attunement in our high vibrational healing room, a sacred space designed to facilitate deep energy work. During the attunement, the Reiki Master will open the energy channels within you, allowing Reiki energy to flow freely. This process may be experienced as gentle sensations, warmth, or a deep sense of peace. Reiki Hand Positions You'll learn the standard Reiki hand positions used in both self-healing and healing others. These positions cover the major energy centers and help balance the body's energy. Conducting a Self-Healing Session Learning to heal oneself is a cornerstone of Reiki practice. You'll be guided through a complete self-healing session, focusing on each chakra and energy center to promote overall well-being. Conducting a Healing Session for Others You'll also learn how to conduct a healing session for others, including setting the intention, creating a safe and comfortable environment, and using the Reiki hand positions effectively. Practice and Certification The class includes dedicated practice time where you can apply what you've learned. You'll have the opportunity to give and receive Reiki with fellow participants under the guidance of the instructor. At the end of the class, you'll receive your Reiki Level 1 certification, recognizing your ability to practice Reiki on yourself and others.
