To our dear followers, this is a post I wish I didn’t have to write. This close to new year’s eve and all. You have to believe me. The end of an exhausting, emotional and overwhelming year is here and it’s supposed to be a time of hope, joy and celebration. It’s Miranda here, Founder of Soquilichi, writing to you with a heartfelt plea and I’m desperately turning to you for urgent help. For 5 beautiful kittens who are all just 2 week old. Their mum has been tragically killed by a snake and they are not in a good way. We need to pull out all stops and given it’s new years the costs will rise significantly. We’ve received a call for help. A mum has been killed by a snake and the caller was desperate. Given that one of these kittens is two weeks old. As always we have rushed, dropped everything to help. Our carer was celebrating with family and friends and rushed to their aid. They are with us now. Our team are doing their best. A number of them have cancelled new year’s celebrations. They are truly angels on this earth. These kittens will need 24/7 care. Our team will spend tonight Bottle feeding, giving these precious little things the best chance of survival. Rescue is tough, rescue is unrelenting and the calls for help come in at any time. Rescue doesn’t stop for public holidays, or birthdays or graduations or the beginning of a new year. I founded this rescue with one thing in mind. To save precious animals in their darkest hours. For these 5 precious kittens, their time is now. We must do whatever it takes. We need to raise at least $7,000 for their vet bills, food and care which will continue for weeks to come. I hope you understand.
