It's a great gathering spot where: * Locals often share memorable moments, enjoying the legendary Trà Tắc (kumquat tea) while catching up with friends. * Tourists regard it as one of the best places to experience Café Bệt, a beloved Saigon tradition of enjoying coffee while sitting on the ground. * Some come here almost every night for a free dating site with their crushes and many years later come back as a married couple. * Some come to taste iconic Saigon street foods such as Bánh Tráng Trộn (mixed rice paper salad), Bắp Xào Bơ (stir-fried corn with butter), or Cút Lộn Xào Me (stir-fried baby quail eggs with tamarind sauce)… * And SO MANY visit to see “the Turtle”, then end up seeing nothing… P/S: There has never been a LIVE turtle in the lake. Before 1976, a large steel turtle statue stood at the center of the lake, but it was destroyed in an explosion that year. Atami Plum Garden Maple Festival - Enjoy Autumn Foliage and Plum Blossoms at the Same Time! The Atami Plum Garden bursts into life with the autumn foliage of roughly 380 maple trees from late November through December! Being located in the temperate Atami City, these are said to be the latest autumn leaves in Japan. The Atami Plum Garden Maple Festival will be held from November 16 to December 8, 2024. From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, a foot bath is open to soak your feet while gazing at the foliage. Stick around for the after-dark illumination, where the illuminated leaves pop out against the night sky. You can also see early plum blossoms during this period. See Autumn Foliage Day and Night at Momijidani Teien Garden Located within Wakayama Castle in Wakayama Prefecture, the beautiful Momijidani Teien Garden (also known as Nishinomaru Garden) was commissioned by a feudal lord in the early 17th century. Each year from late November to early December, the garden is adorned with the vibrant reds and yellows of fall foliage. The highlight of the garden is its integration of the castle's moat, designed like a grand pond. The Engyokaku Pavilion extends out over this pond, creating stunning scenery as it mirrors off the surface of the water with the autumn leaves. The garden is lit up at night, and spectators can enjoy the view from outside the grounds.
