During the excavation of the trench and the dredging of the channel for the immersed tunnel of the #Shenzhen-#Zhongshan Link, the project team abandoned the traditional, more economical, and faster blasting method. Instead, they adopted a rock drilling construction method that is more environmentally friendly, costing an additional 30 million yuan to protect the habitat of the #Chinese white #dolphins. According to public reports, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link also adopted other measures during its construction to protect the marine #ecological environment. The construction team even set a record for fast island formation to reduce the impact on the Chinese white dolphins and manufacture various large components in factories before transporting them for offshore installation to minimize waste emissions.

🚨🚨WA LIBERALS TO FUND PORTER-PASCOE COMMUNITY FOOTBRIDGE IN LAKE GWELUP I am proud to announce that a future Mettam Liberal Government will commit $1.5 million to replace the Porter-Pascoe Street footbridge at Lake Gwelup. This much loved and heavily utilised community asset was burnt beyond repair in the fire of February 2024. It has been almost a year since, with the owners of this asset, the Water Corporation refusing to replace it. With community frustration building, Rod King on behalf of the highly regarded community group Friends of Lake Gwelup, presented a petition with 660 signatures to Councillor Karlo Perkov, who lodged the petition with the council in October. This sort of important community infrastructure is part of my Local Plan for the Scarborough electorate and the community around Lake Gwelup. This bridge is an integral part of the environmental and social cohesion of our community, it connects our communities between Karrinyup and Gwelup as well as promoting healthy lifestyles. That is why the WA Liberals are acting to replace this treasured community asset. “Il fatto è la cosa più ostinata che esista”, scriveva Bulgakov nel suo capolavoro “Il Maestro e Margherita”. E lo penso anch’io. A maggior ragione quando “il fatto” è qualcosa di concreto come una piazza o un tram: quando togli le transenne e ti riprendi o riacquisti uno spazio pubblico (migliorato) non c’è, infatti, propaganda che tenga. Ma confesso che mi fanno ugualmente arrabbiare i cartelloni con le fake news che riguarderebbero i presunti cantieri in ritardo o addirittura mai aperti dall’amministrazione Gualtieri che sono stati affissi proprio in questi giorni da Fratelli d’Italia in tutta Roma. Innanzitutto, m’innervosiscono per la tempistica: perché rivela una certa furbizia, ma anche una certa debolezza e paura, diffondere queste bufale a lavori non ancora consegnati (molti cantieri – infatti - saranno conclusi entro la fine del mese di dicembre) e, soprattutto, perché prendono in giro i romani e le romane, specie se poco informati. E questo, al di là di ogni visione (o pseudo visione) politica, è inaccettabile. I cambiamenti della città sono più forti della propaganda: puoi far credere alla gente tutto quello che vuoi quando parli di tasse, di diritti, di finanziaria e di altri temi astratti, ma quando cambi una piazza, metti un tram, apri una metro… la gente se ne accorge. Il resto è solo un fastidioso chiacchiericcio. E comunque: vorrei concludere questo post con una breve lista di alcuni interventi effettuati in questi mesi per il Giubileo, ben più di 8 e sono solo i primi che mi vengono in mente, per dimostrare come le bugie hanno davvero le gambe corte. Ecco alcune opere effettuate: la nuova via Ottaviano, la nuova via Crescenzio, la nuova stazione Spagna, la riapertura delle fontane laterali di piazza Navona, di piazza della Rotonda, delle fontane in piazze Farnese, di quella di Santa Maria maggiore. Il rifacimento dei marciapiedi al lungotevere degli Altoviti e di Tor di Nona, dei marciapiedi del lungotevere Farnesina, la nuova ciclabile di piazzale di Porta Pia, la ciclabile Sapienza-Termini e il rifacimento delle seguenti strade, ognuna un progetto diverso e ne cito solo poche: la tangenziale est, lungotevere Testaccio, viale Trastevere, via dei Corridori, via Orazio, via Terenzio, via Ovidio, via Boezio, viale Tirreno, viale Jonio, via di Porta furba, viale Eritrea, corso Trieste, via del Foro Italico solo per citarne alcuni. Devo proseguire? La destra è senza vergogna. E non sa nemmeno contare. ps: il 20 si inaugura piazza Risorgimento, il 22 piazza della Repubblica, il 23 piazza Pia, il 28 piazza di San Giovanni e il 30 piazzale dei Cinquecento. Ricordo poi che molti interventi giubilari, può sembrare strano ma è così, non hanno mai avuto come scadenza la fine del 2024 ma saranno realizzati è conclusi nel 2025 e 2026, vedi il ponte dell'industria.
