In the Netherlands, we have a tradition similar to Halloween called Sint Maarten. Kids will go door to door and get candy. In my neighborhood, we have a rule that kids can only come to the door for candy between 6 and 7 PM. We have new neighbors and at 9 PM they decided to show up. I politely told the kids that the planned hour for Sint Maarten was over. Their mom was livid that I wouldn’t give them candy. AITJ?
