Loopholes in Koala protections are glaring, despite being classed as endangered at both a state and national level.

In the aftermath of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Currumbin Wildlife Hospital admitted 4x times more than the regular intake. Disaster relief is urgently needed for carers and hospital staff to support local wildlife, including Koalas.
I'm calling on the Australian Government to protect our Southern Gold Coast Koalas by funding a dedicated program for safe crossings, habitat restoration, wildlife carer support, and stronger habitat protection laws.
