Weekend Drivers Ed course in Lafayette 2 weekend course Drivers Ed courses for 14yrs 9mo. - 17 years of age. 38 Hr driver's ed course is required for the teenager to obtain a learner's permit/drivers license Classroom training is held on Saturday, Sunday for 2 weekends (August 30,31, Sept. 6,7) from 8am-4pm. The behind-the-wheel training is scheduled separately at a later date according to availability. Call or visit Southwestsafetytraining.com to register. Classes do fill up; don’t procrastinate to register. For teenagers Students will receive 30 hrs of classroom training and 8 hrs behind the wheel training. He/she will also receive a defensive driving certificate (a $50) value. This certificate could give a discount on auto insurance, depending on the insurance company. Convenient Bonus: One-Stop-Shop!!
