Congresswoman Delia Ramirez represents Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District and is the first Latina elected to Congress from the Midwest. Born and raised in Chicago to Guatemalan immigrant parents, she has dedicated her life to public service and advocacy for working families. Before entering Congress, she served in the Illinois House of Representatives, where she was known for championing affordable housing, healthcare access, and immigrant rights. In Congress, she serves on the Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
