unfairness

🎙️ Inequality and unfairness will always exist. The key is removing it from the process.
A few weeks ago, during a talkshow, I heard a prominent political leader say that their kids would have advantages in their constituencies due to their family’s goodwill. People will support them simply because they’re the children of someone “loved & well-known.”
I get it. Life’s not fair. Sometimes I wish I looked like Brad Pitt or was the son of an Arab Sheikh. These things come with undeniable privileges. So yes, a kid from a renowned political family has built-in privileges:
🔹 Legacy & Connections – Being the child of a prominent figure means inheriting their legacy. Imagine Sachin’s son batting or CR7’s kid doing the “Siuuu!” People will instantly connect with that.
🔹 Access to Power – These kids aren’t just hearing about political giants like Khaleda Zia—they dine with them. Just like junior Bush followed his father’s footsteps.
❓ But how do we know they’re really better than the others, or are we denying ourselves a new great leadership journey? That’s my biggest concern.
We often see kids rising in politics, business etc, but how many excel in sports following their parents’ footsteps? Not many. Because sports is the most merit-based field. It doesn’t care about family names—if you're good, you're good 🔥
Here’s what I believe we need:
👉 Transparency – Political parties must have clear, fair processes to ensure family ties don’t unduly influence nominations.
👉 Youth Engagement – Encourage young people from all backgrounds to join politics through mentorship and leadership programs.
👉 Education & Debates – The public must learn to judge candidates based on merit, not just family name. Let the best candidates prove themselves through fair debates and contest.
This is the new Bangladesh we fought for in 2024. Inequality will always exist in human psychology, but by removing it from the process, we can move closer to true equality 🇧🇩🚀
