Land Surveyor Position

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare for surveys by extracting relevant records, noting sheets, and diagrams from the Surveyor-General’s website • Georeference architectural and engineering drawings to determine precise setting-out points • Transform coordinates between different systems to maintain accuracy • Conduct fieldwork using sound survey principles, verifying and checking results • Perform various surveys, including topographical, engineering, cadastral (beacon relocations, subdivisions, servitudes), and sectional title (new and amending schemes) • Compile and submit cadastral and sectional title survey records for approval • Liaise effectively with clients and consultants to define project scope and requirements REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying/Geomatics • Registered with SAGC as a Professional Surveyor • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience post SAGC registration • Strong knowledge of South African land survey laws, regulations, and best practices • Proficiency in total stations, GPS receivers, laser scanners, and CAD software • Boundary reconstruction experience with high accuracy • Valid driver’s licence • Fully proficient in Afrikaans and English • Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions Please note, this position occasionally requires travel and work away from home.
