SO YOU WANT TO BE A TATTOO ARTIST? The entire month of August we are accepting applications for ONE spot to be a tattoo apprentice. This is a traditional tattoo apprenticeship that will take up to 2yrs to complete depending on your ability to… 1. LISTEN 2. TAKE DIRECTION 3. DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD 4. DID I MENTION LISTEN? Our ideal candidate is aged 21-30yrs old, is an art student or has a STRONG portfolio of art ie: drawings, paintings, abstract art and so on. If you have attempted to teach yourself how to tattoo, don’t waste our time or yours. There is a right way and a wrong way of doing things and we have zero interest in fixing bad habits. The ideal candidate should have a part time job or a way to support themselves during the apprenticeship, or be willing to take a piercing class and you can earn money piercing in the shop during your apprenticeship. You must have a car, reliable transportation to and from the shop. You must be willing to learn how to run every aspect of the shop, from the front counter, answering phones, customer service, cleaning and handling paperwork.
