' 「反思成為職業治療師的初心，是保鮮自己成為一個更好的職業治療師的動力的好方法。」 職業治療是以日常活動（occupations)去提升病患的生活獨立性（independence)及生活質量（quality of life)，從而使他們過有意義(meaningful)的生活。 作為一個在醫院為病患服務了11年的職業治療師，能夠幫助每一位病人活得更有意義是這份工作所賦予的使命。但日覆日年覆年地給予病人千篇一律的生活建議令我反思如何可以使這些建議變得更有效更有針對性。 學習手法治療的過程極大地擴展了我如何去看待、評估及治療病人，當自己更能夠針對性地指出病人日常生活所出現的問題，就能夠更接近很多傷病的根源。配合過去多年與同事及病人，一同討論及研究出來去改變日常活動的小秘訣，作為一個「另類職業治療師」，我為自己能夠在更短的時間幫助更多的病人而感到無比的滿足。 "Reflecting on the original aspiration of becoming an occupational therapist is a good way to keep the motivation to become an even better occupational therapist unexpired." Occupational therapy aims to enhance the independence and quality of life of patients through meaningful occupations, helping them to live a more meaningful life. As an occupational therapist who has served patients in the hospital for 11 years, being able to help each patient live a more meaningful life is the mission bestowed upon this profession. However, the repetitive daily life advice has led me to reflect on how to make these recommendations more effective and targeted. The process of learning manual therapy has greatly expanded my perspective on how to view, assess and treat patients. When I am better able to pinpoint the problems in a patient's daily life, I can get closer to the root of many injuries and illnesses. Combining my years of experience discussing and researching with colleagues and patients to change the daily activities, as an "alternative occupational therapist", I feel immensely fulfilled to be able to help more patients in a shorter amount of time.
