Hey San Diego! Ready to join the millions of Magic: The Gathering players worldwide? Our Magic Academy is the perfect way to get started—and it's completely free! Here's what we've got planned: We'll start with a short video that breaks down the basics (don't worry, it's not boring!), then everyone gets their own welcome deck to take home. After that, it's game time! You'll play some casual matches while our friendly staff and experienced players are there to help with questions and strategy tips. This event is perfect for anyone 13 and up who's curious about Magic but doesn't know where to start. Our Downtown San Diego gaming community is super welcoming to newcomers, so you'll fit right in whether you're a teenager or discovering tabletop games later in life.
