XVR Summer Basketball Training Program 2025

XVR Summer Training Program is back again for 2025! Let us help you level up this grind season with our 3 weekly sessions that mix strength & conditioning, skills training and game theory sessions, all held at some of Winnipeg’s best post secondary facilities - CMU and Red River College!! DETAILS The goal for this camp is to build cardiovascular endurance, physical strength, coordination and footwork as well as the hard skills needed to compete in basketball at the highest levels. WEEK 1 - DATES Week 1 - July 7th, July 8th, July 9th LOCATION Canadian Mennonite University 500 Shaftesbury Blvd. —————00————— WEEK 2 - DATES July 14th, July 16th, July 17th LOCATION Red River College - North Gym 2055 Notre Dame Ave. ELIGIBILITY High School Age Boys & Girls Kids Born 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 Middle School Age Boys & Girls Kids Born 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 TIME Middle School Age Boys & Girls - 6:00-8:00pm High School Age Boys & Girls - 8:00-10:00pm COST Full 2 week Camp Cost - $180 Weekly Camp Cost - $100 FORMAT Each Camp week will consist of 2 hour sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each session will be split into one of three formats: - Cardio / Plyometrics - Fundamental Skills / Footwork - Game Theory / Controlled Scrimmage You have the option of joining for 1 week long camp (as many as you like) or to join the full camp. Our group of Crossover coaches will be on hand to work with each athlete. The camp will also feature a visit by @bridgwaterphysiotherapy (Thanh Ong and Megan Pascua) that will discuss valuable information for all basketball athletes for injury prevention in knees, hips and back! Our camp is insured by Basketball Manitoba and athletes can choose to attend the full 2 week program or can opt to attend the camp on a weekly basis as desired.
