Port Harcourt Court Grants ₦30M Bail to Alleged Ponzi Scheme Suspect, Prince Emeka
A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has granted ₦30 million bail to Mr. Prince Emeka Ineh, CEO of Gladius Urban Farm Africa Ltd., who is facing charges over an alleged ₦355 million Ponzi scheme that reportedly defrauded hundreds of investors.
Despite strong opposition from the prosecution, the court granted bail under strict conditions. Emeka must provide two sureties, one with a valid Certificate of Occupancy and another who is a recognized Chief with verifiable tax clearance and residence within the court’s jurisdiction. He is also required to surrender all international travel documents, while the prosecution is to verify the addresses of the sureties.
The court warned that any attempt to flee will lead to a bench warrant and international arrest.
Emeka is accused of running a fake poultry investment scheme allegedly involving family members and associates. Investigations by the Department of State Services (DSS) reveal that the company has no physical operations and relied on deceptive tactics to attract investors.
The matter has been adjourned to October 21, 2025, for further hearing.
