However, in Bangladesh, AI art tools often fail to capture the country’s rich cultural diversity, merging it with broader South Asian themes. To address this, the National AI Art-a-thon 2024—Bangladesh's first nationwide AI-driven art competition—aims to highlight the nation’s vibrant cultural heritage through AI-generated artworks. This competition invites artists, creators, architects, graphic designers, content makers, technologists, and AI enthusiasts to showcase their talents by creating unique, AI-generated art pieces that authentically represent Bangladesh's diverse culture, traditions, and artistic values. ✨ Why Participate? Themes for the Initial Phase: Theme 1: Reimagining a Plural Future for the Urban Street Markets in Bangladesh Theme 2: Diversity in Bangladesh’s Urban Informal Housing Scenario in the Future Submission Requirements: 1. AI-generated final image/art 2. Step-by-step prompt documentation (Sample will be provided) 3. Video documentation of the process (Max 2 minutes; fast-forward allowed; sample will be provided) 4. List of applied AI tools (e.g., DALL-E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, etc.), along with any other tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Submissions can be in Bengali or English. Deadline for Initial Phase Submissions: March 24, 2025 2️⃣ Final Phase (In-Person): Around 20 shortlisted teams (10 from Category A and 10 from Category B) will compete in the final round. Theme: Notun Bangladesh/Bangladesh 2.0 Participants will get 120 minutes for image creation and 60 minutes for documentation. Expert mentors will guide participants throughout the event.
