Responsibilities (include but not limited to): -Responsible for all electrical and PLC issues and updates. - Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment. - Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns. - Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. -Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. -Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. -Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. -Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. -Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. -Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. -Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. -Keep daily log of work done to turn in to shift supervisor at the end of each shift. -Work in a variety of areas ranging from the ground to the roof. -Work in very low to very high temperatures with proper personal protective equipment. -Understand and follow Lock out Tag out procedures. -Perform landscape and snow removal duties. -Clean up the work area during and at the end of each shift. -Maintain a clean and safe work area. -Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or and equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. -Must be able to read and write -Must be able to perform mathematical computations. -Must be able to read a tape measure. - Proficient in English for effective communication. -Must be able to understand and adhere to all the safety requirements of the sawmill facility. - Experience in facilities maintenance with a strong electrical and mechanical knowledge base. - Ability to use tools such as ohmmeters, logic controllers, and other diagnostic equipment. - Capable of fabricating parts or components when necessary. - Must be able to communicate effectively.
