The 20th Annual NC Juneteenth Celebration returns to the campus of North Carolina Central University on Saturday, June 21, with a vibrant, family-friendly festival honoring 160 years of freedom. From 1 PM to 8 PM, attendees will experience a dynamic lineup of live entertainment, cultural exhibits, health fair, an interactive kids’ zone, fashion show, and an array of diverse vendors and exhibitors offering everything from food to handmade goods. As the longest-running and largest Juneteenth event in the state, the festival continues its legacy of celebrating culture, history, and economic empowerment, all with North Carolina-based talent and businesses at its core. Additionally, the Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony (June 2) at Durham County Courthouse, Juneteenth at Shaw University (June 19), the VIP All-White Juneteenth Kick-Off Party (June 19 - Invitation Only), and the Gospel Celebration (June 20) at Hayti Heritage Center will highlight the historical and spiritual significance of Juneteenth.
