✨ #artvsartist2024 ✨ 2024 brought me all kinds of beautiful things: Winning the Picturethis! contest @uitgeverijlemniscaat in June was the best surprise ever🥰. It felt like a big reward for all the hard work I did and it gave me big boost of self esteem💪🏻☺️ The winning works were shown at @kunztzwijndrecht and @obamsterdam 🙏 In September Foempie, my first illustrated book, came out. It was such a great project to work on and I am very grateful for the trust @moonuitgevers and @willembosch put in me. This summer @clavis_uitgeverij asked me to illustrate two books. The first book is almost finished and will be out in May. At the moment I’m working on the second book and a third book is already planned… 🙏 Beside the great book projects this year there where a lot of other great moments: participating and getting interviewed at @kunstrouteleiden , figure drawing sessions once a month, drawing outside with @draw_club_leiden (which I would like to do more in 2025!) , making plans with @cultuurcoachleiden , @patries_borger did a great job taking some pictures of me, the children’s book ball, and this year I started to write more stories and poems myself… and off course I still did a little bit of teaching as well 😅 I really feel that all the seeds I planted before showed themselves above the ground this year 🌸🌼🪻🌺 Thank you so much for all the inspiration, support, likes and lovely comments here on Instagram.
