Registration is now open for our Safe Mushroom Foraging Class! Join ISU Extension and Outreach Natural Resources Field Specialist, Gina Buelow, on April 7 for a fun-filled program about mushroom foraging. Learn about what fungi are, how to identify mushrooms, and how you can forage safely and responsibly. Get ready to develop a new appreciation for the spectacular spore-bearing members of our ecosystem! Mushrooms to be discussed include 3 species of morel mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, pheasant back mushrooms, velvet stem, and inky caps. 🍄Date: April 7, 2025 🍄Time: 6:00 - 7:00 PM 🍄Location: West Pottawattamie County Extension Office 🍄Cost: $25.
