MERALCO now carries the responsibility of sustaining its strategically critical services to the most productive regions of the country. With 121 years of experience, MERALCO has the infrastructure and institutional advantage. But longevity alone is not enough. We call on MERALCO to continuously upgrade its service delivery, invest in infrastructure and innovation, and ensure the least-cost mandate is honored through transparent competitive selection processes. We call on MERALCO to present a clear roadmap on how it intends to meet the accelerating demand of its customers in the context of the emerging digital economy.
