That’s exactly what happened at this stunning home in Cremorne Point. When Taylor, our Director of Opulent Finishes, first stepped into the kitchen, he was met with a bare brick wall – loose bricks, rough edges, and an expectation to patch and render over it. Instead of hiding the brick, we embraced it. After bouncing ideas with our clients, we found the perfect balance: restore and soften the exposed brick while adding half-height wainscoting to bring warmth and elegance. This detail flowed seamlessly through the kitchen, dining, and entry hall – blending the old with the new in a way that felt effortless. This project is special to us because it’s a reminder that design isn’t about following a formula. It’s about seeing potential – in textures, in spaces, in stories. And wainscoting? It’s more versatile than people realise.
