OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS FOR PASSIONATE WRITERS **Do You Have a Passion for Writing? We Want to Hear from You!** This past year has been a thrilling journey for us as we’ve seen our local news publication connect with hundreds of new readers daily, we are fast approaching 29,000 followers in just our first 17 months and we are still steadily growing! As we begin 2025, we are seeking to welcome a few talented Contributing Writers to our team. Our Contributing Writer program is not made up of traditional news writers or journalists. They are homemakers, retirees, local business owners, and full-time employees juggling multiple responsibilities. What inspires them is a love of writing, and a desire to contribute to their community. We’re on the lookout for creative individuals who are interested in producing 1 to 4 articles each month on local topics of interest. The quantity of articles written is flexible based on the individual writer. As we enhance our coverage of local breaking news, we also aim to expand our range of special interest pieces. These articles will cover a diverse array of subjects, including food & beverage destinations, local non-profit organizations, children’s activities, local history and historical sites, pet stories, upcoming events, and much more. Additionally, if you have a unique topic in mind, we’re always open to your suggestions as a local writer. The ideal candidates will possess strong writing abilities and good interpersonal skills. No prior experience is necessary - this opportunity is available to individuals of all ages, whether young, old, or somewhere in-between. The only requirements are a love for writing and a desire to share valuable information with the community.
