Youth Camp - 5 Days of Fun and Adventure

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT: YOUTH CAMP - 5 Days Ages: 7-14 years When: Youth Camp B - August 4-8,Youth Camp C - August 11-15 Cost: $835+HST Transportation: available from James Jerome Sports Complex(Sudbury), HWY 7 Tim Hortons (Espanola), Spanish. Youth Camp (5 Day) is another perfect introductory program for campers ages 7-14 years. In this 5 day program campers will take part in cabin programs with their new cabinmates as well as have the opportunity to select their own program skills they want to take part in. In the skills portion of their session, campers will be grouped with other campers of similar age from all camp cabins to take part in a particular program and learn and develop their skills while having fun and meeting new people. These programs may include: sailing, windsurfing, guitar, canoeing, kayaking, high ropes, archery, arts and crafts, outdoor living skills and more. During cabin time, cabin groups will take part in various traditional camp activities as a group, such as ropes and climbing wall, canoeing, sailing, crafts and further develop relationships with their cabinmates while enjoying fun camp programs In the evenings, campers will take part in camp-wide activities like campfire, sticks, capture the flag and more! Later in the week they will also take part in the ever popular Colour Wars, where cabins are divided into colours and compete for the Colour Wars Trophy! Throughout the week they will enjoy delicious and healthy meals, snacks and desserts from the kitchen such as burgers and fries, french toast, waffles, spaghetti and caesar salad, chicken burgers, brownies, pudding and more! Most dietary needs can also be accommodated. It is an action packed week of fun and excitement and a great way to get a taste of the many programs and activities that John Island has to offer.
