🧡 Local Community Partnership Roundup 2024 💙 Our branches have had a fantastic year, supporting local communities and making a difference where it's needed most. Here are some highlights of the incredible work our branches have been up to: 💛 The Merseyside & The Wirral Region combined forces in October to fundraise for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Liverpool, a local hospice providing specialist care for babies and children with life-limiting and complex needs, which was on the brink of closing down. Our 22 North West branches played their part in helping Zoe's Place secure funding, and collaboratively raised over £10,000 (plus £2,500 in gift aid) in only 3 weeks! The majority of funding came from a region-wide competition whereby anyone who donated £5 to the appeal would be entered into a competition to win a £2,000 Hays Travel Gift Card. 🧥 In July, the Hays Travel Halesowen branch arranged a fundraising day for, Cozy Coats, a local charity providing underprivileged children with warm fashionable coats for the winter, so they can arrive at school feeling both warm and comfortable. On the day, the branch hosted a colouring competition for children to decorate flags from around the world. There was also a raffle, with all proceeds going to the charity. In total, the branch raised £205 for the charity which was further match funded by the Hays Travel Foundation. ⚽ Our Hays Travel Ashington branch arranged a charity football match in aid of YoungMinds in August, a mental health charity which strives to ensure young people can reach the mental health support they deserve and need, The charity football match at Ashington AFC raised funds through match entry, face painting and a raffle in-store. In total, the branch fundraised over £1600 for Young Minds, which was match funded by the Hays Travel Foundation. ❤️ Hays Travel Bury arranged a sponsored walk in support of Andys Man Club in September. This charity promotes and protects the mental health and wellbeing of men facing mental health challenges. The branch challenged themselves and walked from the Bury branch at 7am, all the way to Manchester Airport at 3pm- equating to 18 miles and 47,000 steps. In total, the branch raised £500 for the charity, making the sore feet the day after very worth it! We want to thank all of our branches for their incredible work and dedication throughout 2024! Here is to helping more children and young people in 2025! 👏
