A Note from Shyner~ This used to be me, I was so scared, I wanted my mama. I was hungry and cold and didn't know what this place was. I was having trouble walking like the other cows so I was thrown away like garbage. As I stood in the auction arena I dreamed of better days I hadn't even known yet. I dreamed of green pastures and other cows and love and warmth and happiness. I only brought in $100 at the auction. Was that what my life was really worth? I wish there were people out there who cared. What I didn’t know is that I was purchased by people that really did care. I was purchased by the Xanadu Animal Sanctuary with funds raised by more caring people all just for little ole me. They paid that price for my life. They told me that everything was about to change and I would be okay. And they really are ok. I have plenty of food and hay and pasture and friends to graze and play with. I got the PT I needed so my legs would straighten out and develop right, and now I can run. I rest in the warmth of the sun with my friends Lucille, Wiley, Beau, Ripley and Ella Grace. I share my barn with goats and sheep. We squabble like siblings, but it's all in good fun. And it's all because of people like you that my life was spared--people like you who donated so I could be rescued--you are the real heroes. I ask of you that you will consider giving to help save other farm animals just like me. Will you be a Cow Hero and make the difference for someone else who deserves this magical place too?
