A man’s tears don’t fall where anyone can see. He hides them in late nights, empty rooms, and quiet car rides—so his family never has to feel his pain. On Sunday 18th May, this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride takes place across the globe, raising awareness and vital funds for the 1 in 7 men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and the millions of men living with mental health challenges they feel they can’t speak about. My hope, through the power of DGR, is to create an environment in my pubs where men feel comfortable enough to open up—and I’m proud to say there have already been a few moments where that’s happened.
