Every once in a while, I like to roll off the edge of the earth and drop down into parts of unknown…There’s nothing quite like it for resetting and gaining perspective… To reframe any quote-unquote problems, the petty annoyances, grievances amongst people... perceived entitlements... they all fade back when you drop onto another corner of the earth and realize how many millions and millions of other people are walking around on the planet that have absolutely no idea that you even exist and could care less, quite frankly, about your existence or issues… The very lottery of existence…Our location on the planet and the benefits of being dropped onto this earth where I so happen to be deposited is just an outrageous random one-in-a-billion chance that I get at this one big life. It’s akin to standing at the edge of the ocean and looking out into the vast sea with the billions and billions of particles of sand under foot representing this human existence and the randomness of one of those specks of sand being washed up against the shore or drug back out into the sea and deposited somewhere else on a land far, far away. Fascination with the world’s population The vastness and the randomness of the world’s population never ceases to fascinate…And all cares and concerns fall petty against the teeming masses of humans surviving this vast and varied human existence.
