Dingo near? Stay clear! 🙅‍♂️ It's always exciting to spot wildlife when you're visiting K'gari, but remember that dingoes are wild animals and are quick and unpredictable. To stay dingo-safe, follow these do’s and don’ts 👉 ✔️ Do keep your distance (at least 20 metres) if you spot dingoes. ✔️ Do carry a safety stick (such as umbrella or fishing rod) to deter dingoes from coming too close. ✔️ Do keep kids within arm’s reach. ✔️ Do keep all food, cooking, cleaning and fishing items locked up or in your car. ✔️ Do dispose of rubbish correctly so as not to attract dingoes hunting for food. ✔️ Do choose to camp in fenced areas ⛺ ❌ Don’t run as this can trigger their instinct to chase. ❌ Don’t be alone as this increases your chances of being threatened by a dingo. ❌ Don’t feed or interact with dingoes.
