Following a suggestion from my mother, I approached to see the remodeling of my brother's house. Among the new furniture he had acquired, was a bed structure bought in a well-known Swedish store, which had to be assembled. Having little time to carry out the project, he decides to hire someone to assemble the furniture. Doubts, or rather, the certainty that things were not going well assaulted me when I saw him hammer a screw to force him into a thread. "That's not right," I told him. "If that store has something, it's that everything is coldly calculated. If that screw doesn't fit, it's because it's not your thread. After asking him to give me time, I read the instructions several times and began to join the pieces slowly, until I perfectly completed the structure, to the amazement of the worker. No, I am not an expert in furniture assembly; but after frustrating past experiences, I can establish some maxims: 1- If you must assemble something, you must first ask the manufacturer. The surrounding opinions are not worth it, nor yours; the creator is the one who knows what it is for and how it is assembled and fixed, his creation. 2- Every good creation has instructions, and you have to follow them, unless you want to waste your time, or directly fail. And, taking it to a human plane, I am not an expert in how life should be led either; but after my own past experiences, I can firmly tell you that if you want to be clear about what you were created for or how you can be renewed or restored, you must ask who created you, and that creator is God. He left us His instructions in His word, the Bible. Everything else will be hammer blows, leftover or missing pieces, wasted time or useless lives. Ask your Creator, obey His instructions. This is: true wisdom. “Woe to the man who fights with his Creator. Does the pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with him who forms it, saying, “Stop, you’re doing it wrong!” or the pot exclaim, “How clumsy can you be!”? Isaiah 45:9 (TLB).
