FROM 3 TO 150: PINAS CARGO CELEBRATES 11 YEARS OF GROWTH AND GRATITUDE What began 11 years ago with just three employees has now blossomed into a remarkable journey of success. Pinas Cargo, the flagship company of the Pinas Group of Companies, recently celebrated its 11th anniversary, marking not just years in business, but a legacy of growth, empowerment, and purpose. From one humble company, the vision of its founder and CEO Ms. Marlyn Castro has expanded into six thriving businesses: Pinas Cargo, Pinas Spa and Beauty Center, Pinas Travel, Pinas Gold, Pinas Petals and Blooms and Pinas Cleaning Solutions. With a workforce that has grown to 150 dedicated staff members, Pinas Cargo commemorated its anniversary with its grandest celebration yet—a glamorous Grand Ball-themed annual party held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel-Dubai. The celebration was nothing short of spectacular. Each employee was gifted with tokens of appreciation, and a thrilling raffle draw featured major prizes such as two 65” televisions, a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, electric cooker, and various other home appliances. As someone who was once a scholar herself, Ms. Marlyn Castro continues to pay it forward. This year, two more scholars were added to the company’s growing list of beneficiaries—now numbering more than a dozen—proving her unwavering commitment to education and upliftment. Guests were treated to lively entertainment with dancing, singing, an unlimited buffet of specially prepared cuisine, and overflowing drinks—a true night of indulgence and appreciation. The venue glittered with employees dressed to the nines in elegant gowns and suits, along with their immediate family and close friends, who were also invited to join the festivities. Adding prestige to the occasion, several dignitaries and distinguished guests graced the event, including: H.E. Alfonso Ferdinand Ver, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, Consul General Marford Angeles, Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, Vice Consul Jim Jimeno, Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio Bautista, Migrant Workers Office in Dubai and esteemed leaders of the Filipino community and business sectors. The celebration was also a moment of recognition, as 33 Loyalty Awards and 46 Performance Awards and Citations were presented to exemplary staff. Plaques of appreciation were likewise awarded to partners and contributors who have played pivotal roles in the company’s journey.
