EMDR Therapy for Infertility Distress Research Study

STILL SEEKING PARTICIPANTS I am excited to share that I am conducting a research study titled “Effectiveness of EMDR in Reducing Infertility Distress in Women: A Randomized Crossover Trial” at RMIT University in Bundoora. Eligible participants will receive six sessions of EMDR therapy (for no cost) with a registered psychologist. The purpose of this study is to explore how Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy can help alleviate distress related to infertility. We believe that this research can contribute to a better understanding of mental health support for individuals experiencing infertility challenges. We are seeking participants who: • Were assigned female at birth • Are experiencing infertility distress • Are aged 18 years or older Participation involves: • Completing an initial screening questionnaire • Engaging in a clinical interview • Undergoing EMDR therapy sessions, if eligible (these sessions will be held weekly and in person at RMIT University Health Clinic in Bundoora).
