A wholesome safe space to explore expression of self through dance, movement and community connection. An opportunity to release, let go, energise, and come home to ourselves. Held within a beautifully created temple space with art, lighting and surround sound to support the journey Each event having its own unique vibe, as we alternate djs, each bringing their own musical delights. 7pm The doors open With tea available and some time to get comfortable before start 7.30 The doors close We come into a circle Set the tone for the evening, share Cacao, some brief words, and short warm up. 8pm -9.30pm Dance to the DJ of the night 9.30 - 10pm We get comfortable, melt and surrender to the sound bath. 10pm finish. All welcome to hang around and connect with each other as we pack up This event is a free form/freestyle dance and movement with no exceptions or choreography, a place to play and explore, or just be.. Come with an open and curious heart This is a journey from start to finish. Please arrive by 7.30pm at the latest. The doors will be locked and unfortunately there will be no entry after this point. WHY ECSTATIC DANCE? Good movement is so important in our modern lives, dance is such a fun way to meet this, the best exercise we think! Movement to energise, activate and release! Community connection! Our dances are a kind of amalgamation of yoga, aerobics, mediation with a dance party festival atmosphere without the hangover! Ticks lots of the monthly life goals for us! WHAT TO BRING Comfortable clothes that you can move in A bottle of water Bring an optional Yoga Mat and Blanket for the Sound Bath. You’ll be lying down, and your body temperature will drop as you relax, which is why a blanket is recommended. Children are very welcome but please be mindful not to disrupt other dancers. You may want to bring a snack. THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN YOU ARE JOINING ECSTATIC DANCE Move however you wish, respect yourself and those around you Please respect this is a Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment. We suggest shoes off to stay grounded, But of course something light if your feet require support We ask for no talking during the main dance. To help us dive deep quickly into the dance journey and our own experience. Please, no photos or videos, Mobile phones muted and out of sight to stay present and contained. There is a tier system to make it accessible to everyone based on your honesty. If you are able to pay for the full Admission this will really support the event greatly.
