THE ANNUAL WHATCOM HUMANE SOCIETY’S DOG DAYS OF SUMMER FESTIVAL IS SUNDAY, AUGUST 24th FROM 11AM - 3PM Join us for the most FUN Dog Days of Summer Festival to date. Activities include: pet themed vendors, canine contests and games, activities, an animal caricaturist, vegetarian food trucks, beer garden and more! Best of all, as always, entrance and admission to the Dog Days of Summer Festival is FREE! LOCATION: The 9 acre field behind the Whatcom Humane Society Division Street Shelter – 2172 Division Street, Bellingham PARKING??? Parking available at the following neighboring businesses (Two Paws Up and THANKS to them for their support!): Builder's Alliance, Western Forest Products, Greenbrier Construction, Matrix Services, Growsource. Look for parking attendants and signs. Parking is limited, so plan accordingly, leave extra time to find parking and please bring your patience! ADA Parking available at WHS shelter. NOTE: We DO NOT offer shuttle services to and from the DDS festival area - which can be a bit of a walk from parking areas. THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER FESTIVAL IS HELD ON A DIRT/GRASS FIELD WHERE THE GROUND CAN BE UNEVEN. EVENT REMINDERS ~ To make sure that both human and canine attendees have the best day ever - please follow these guidelines: Please keep your dog leashed (not retractable leashes, real leashes!) at all times and pick up after your dog. Extra “poop bags” will be available at the WHS booth. DO NOT bring reactive / aggressive dogs to the DDS event. DO NOT bring unvaccinated dogs to the DDS event. NO NOT bring female dogs in heat to the DDS event. DOGGONE FUN ACTIVITIES FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG TO ENJOY INCLUDE: Canine Cooling Stations Paw-Casso Painting Hound Hill - bigger and better than ever this year! Kids Booth Animal Caricaturist - get there early, Steve the caricaturist is AMAZING and the line to get your pups picture drawn gets long - totally, 1000% worth the wait! K9 Kindness Coaching Connection Dog Training Area - some of Whatcom County's BEST positive-based trainers will be on hand to answer questions, conduct demonstrations and offer mini-training sessions with your dog. Photo Booth - located near the WHS booth! Get your family portrait taken by photographer extraordinaire Angie Burger PAWS FOR A BEER - BEER GARDEN - humans must be 21 + years to enter . . . we don't check dogs ID!
