These parts were replaced, but shortly after, the client tried updating the phone to the latest firmware and that’s when the real issue began. The device became “unable to activate. Looking for a solution, the client found us and we’re grateful they chose to trust us with their device. Once we received the iPhone, I immediately disassembled and inspected it to find the cause. The problem? The phone had no modem firmware because the PP_LDO6_RUIM_1V8 line was open damage caused by the fall, which affected the interposer. Additionally, I discovered that three pins on the interposer had detached from the impact. One of these pins was essential for the connection between the A13 Bionic CPU and the Wi-Fi IC. I quickly got to work and applied an effective solution to restore the connection. After a careful inspection and repair process, the iPhone 13 was fully restored and working perfectly again.
