This Speedway is still our one operating in the South permanently in Verwood, Dorset, BH21 5RJ as the track is still there with the cars on the centre island. Also the one sensible thing they did was to cut the side sections from 6 down to 4 and to move the 2 side sections from each side and place them in the centre of the two ends. When travelling this would’ve made the track so much better than being 83‘ x 40‘ and the cars jamming up on every corner this will turn into 67’ x 56’ with a lot less jammin. When you had the the canopy and the paybox the original size was 101’ x 50’ This was made new and completed in September 1939 and some of the wood Rounding Borads and some of the other items were missing because the war started and the government put restrictions on wood supplies.
