Sending your little one to school with CSID? It can feel like a lot to manage, but you've got this! 💪 A great first step is to collaborate with the registered school nurse in creating a CSID-specific Individualized Health Care Plan (IHP). This document will help everyone at your child's school understand your child's unique needs. Be sure to include these 4 important things: >> Documentation of their doctor's diagnosis of CSID >> Your child's specific special needs — medicine, things to watch out for, all dietary requirements including foods they can and cannot eat, etc. >> Individualized Health Care Plan >> Any medical procedures that may be required during school hours (and who to call in case of emergency) By working together, you can create a safe and positive school experience for your child.
