Masterpiece Basketball Camp

We are excited to be coming to Melfort, but we need help with getting the word out! Camp will be at the Comp High School and will be a highlight of the summer! Kenton Dyck, a Comet Alumni will be instructing the camp with Geoff Glasspell directing. Our lead director, Geoff Glasspell, is the founder of Masterpiece Basketball and an alumnus of the University of Regina Cougars, where he played from 1998-2002. Since then, he has worked as a teacher, athletic director, and coach at Regina Christian School. His basketball teams have been extremely successful, being ranked in the top 4 in the province 18/19 years and have won 8 of the last 11 Provincial 3A Championships (9 Overall). He has coached the Basketball Saskatchewan Inc. 15U and 17u in the past and recently been involved as a consultant with Briercrest Men's Basketball. He has also been involved in running the Briercrest basketball camps over the past 20+ years. Coach Geoff bases his programs on the principles of commitment, integrity, and excellence, and Masterpiece Basketball has been founded on the same principles. Our lead instructor, Kenton Dyck, was a standout High School Basketball player at Melfort High School and has become an outstanding coach. He has been involved in Masterpiece since our inception over Covid and has since become the Head Coach of the Jr Boys Coach at Regina Christian School and Lead Assistant for the RCS Varsity Sr Boys Program, winning two gold medals over the previous 3 seasons. Our High School Elite-Level Camps are designed to challenge and develop advanced basketball skills for high school athletes. We prioritize individual skills development, teamwork, and competition. Players will learn skills progressively based on a thoroughly developed curriculum. To promote relationship building, athletes will be placed on teams and work with a specific coach for the week. But our camps are not just about basketball. We also challenge our players to work on their character, based on aspects of Masterpiece, such as commitment, integrity, and excellence. We believe that good character development is crucial for success on and off the court.
