Sa burado nang report ng politiko.com.ph, quoted ang investment banker at management consultant na si Leo Alejandrino sa pagbabanggit sa pangalan ni Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. bilang “potential contender for the vice presidency” sa ‘Heneral Lunacy’ blog nito noong Nobyembre 25. Ito ay kaugnay ng magkasunod na pagsasampa ng impeachment complaints laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte ngayong linggo. “The President (Ferdinand Marcos Jr.) would be able to appoint a surrogate to replace her (VP Sara) which would temporarily solve the succession issue. The talk is that person might be someone like Sen. Bong Revilla who is popular enough but not a threat to the Marcos family,” sabi ni Alejandrino. Alinsunod sa Section 9 ng Article VII ng 1987 Philippine Constitution, maaaring mag-nominate ang pangulo ng magiging vice president niya mula sa mga kasapi ng Kamara at Senado sakaling mabakante ang ikalawang pinakamataas na posisyon sa gobyerno—pero kailangang kumpirmahin ng majority vote ang nominasyon ng bagong bise presidente.
