A jury has acquitted Diondre Samuel, a resident of All Saints Village, of causing the death of Jamaican national Lashauna Bridgen, who was struck and killed along Friars Hill Road in January 2022. Samuel was accused of causing Bridgen’s death by driving at a dangerously high speed while under the influence of marijuana. Bridgen, a mother who lived in Yorks Village at the time, was on her way to work when she became Antigua and Barbuda's first road fatality of 2022.
