Surrogate Spotlight! 🌸 Introducing our amazing GC Amanda who is 4 weeks postpartum. Let’s take a look back at her journey and how she made a big difference in so many lives! ✨ ⭐️ Why did you become a surrogate? “I decided to be a surrogate because I loved being pregnant and I love helping others. I think infertility is not talked about enough with how common it has become and it breaks my heart to see those who long to be parents but aren’t able to do so. I knew in my teens one day I would choose to help others bring life into this world and it was the best decision I could have made! It’s so much more than carrying a baby for a family, it’s bringing dreams into reality.” ⭐️ What was your favorite part about being a surrogate? “My favorite part of being a surrogate was / is the relationship my kids and I have built with our IP’s. The excitement from them for every appointment whether they were on a phone call, FaceTime or in person. Another favorite part was watching the parents see/hold their baby for the first time. It was truly magical. I also loved how involved my children were with the entire process. We have learned so much about another part of the world and how others live outside of America. The bond that has been created is something I never dreamed of!” ⭐️ Tell us about yourself! “Fun facts, l’m a mom of 2! Both kids are very active in sports in every season and we love it! Summer is our favorite time to spend at the pool, swimming with friends, nightly fires and roasting marshmallows. Outside of being a mom I love talking to strangers and getting to know people on higher levels. I also love listening to audiobooks, coffee dates with friends and just being in the present!” ⭐️ Any words of advice or encouragement for other GCs? “Communicate what you want for your journey, advocate for yourself with your medical team and be open minded for delivery. It’s great to have a plan A but consider plan B and C as well! Don’t be afraid to ask questions along the journey. Pregnancy is an amazing journey in itself, but bringing life into this world for another is the most humbling and magical experience.” 🩷
