ANOTHER YEAR IS COMING Sunday, 31 December 2024 Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV) Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Reflection: The end of the year is a time to reflect, to rejoice over victories, and to learn from failures. To some, this year has been one of blessings and triumphs; to others, it has been marked by trials and pain. Whether you look back with joy or sorrow, the key is to build on what you have experienced. God’s plans for your future are far greater than what lies behind. Failures should not define or discourage you; let them teach you lessons for a fresh start. Successes should not make you complacent; instead, let them spur you on to greater accomplishments. Keep your eyes fixed on what God has in store for the new year. Devotional Thought: God is not done with you yet. Whether you have tasted victory or walked through the valley of despair, know that the coming year holds opportunities for unprecedented growth and transformation. But these require faith—faith that refuses to give up, faith that rises from ashes, and faith that looks beyond present circumstances. Plan with expectation and allow the Lord to direct your steps.
